Baby Shower Party Ideas...
Baby Room Showers:
 | Host a shower where guests
come ready to decorate the baby's new room.

| Activity Ideas:
Have guests work on an aspect of the decoration that
might be difficult for the mother-to-be- to complete on here own: painting the
walls, hanging wallpaper or border or moving furniture.

| Gift Ideas:
Ask guests to bring gifts that coordinate with the
baby's room: bedding, stuffed animals, picture frames, etc...

| Decorations:
Decorate in the colors of the baby's room. Make decorations out of items
that can later be used in the baby's room: fabric for curtains and bedding,
mobiles, streamers of clothes, lined baby socks, etc...

| Favors:
Give guests small coordinated picture frames - a gift
that stays within the shower theme and is perfect for guests with or without
children.

Baby Sprinkle Shower:
| For a stress-free, low-key
celebration, how about a simple sprinkle? Does mom already have everything she
needs? Instead of showering her with gifts, sprinkle her with a few
small things like diapers, wipes and pacifiers - the bare, yet most important,
necessities. (An alternative to this theme could be a "Bear Necessities
Shower" where teddy bears can be incorporated into the decorations and the
shower gifts are kept as simple as burp clothes!)

Time of Day or Room Shower:
| For a Time of Day shower,
assign each guest a particular time of day (morning, afternoon, nap time,
lunchtime, bath time, bedtime, etc...) and have each buy a gift that
corresponds with the activity that happens at that given times. For a
Room Shower assign a particular room to each guest for which they can buy a
gift. (Rubber duckies for the bathroom, playpen for the living room,
linens for the nursery, etc..) |
Boy/Girl Shower:
| If the sex of the child is
known, there's no going wrong with this theme. For a boy shower,
decorate in all blue, have guest wear blue and server foods that are blue
(blueberry flavored treats, blue corn chips, blue punch, blue candies.) For a
girl shower - all pink.
